Surviving in the future will require diverse skills and knowledge about your tools, your environment and their hackability. Science Hack Day helps you stay in course. Science hackers are exploratory and experimental, they know how to adapt.

After years our approach has been refined and optimized, but we feel it’s time to let new ideas in, forget some hardwired assumptions and make the event and organization more interesting for everyone involved.

SHDB usually bashes the brains of academic researchers, about how spontaneous mixes of people from different background can come up with ingenious ideas, that are impossible to appear in their labs.

Science hacks range from particle physics instruments to fashion shows. As diverse as our participants, also our team needs to be full of forces into all directions- for mitigation and adaptation.
