There are lots of ways to get started hacking science with us…

  1. Come to Science Hack Day Berlin

Our hackathon has gotten really popular… Everybody wants to hack dat science. However, we have to restrict the number of participants in our hackathon due to spacetime and catering considerations. In 2015 all 100 available spots were taken within a few hours of opening for registrations. To make sure you don’t miss out, SIGN UP TO OUR EMAIL NEWSLETTER for a notification of when we will open for registration. No spam – we promise.

  2. Join our monthly meetups

If you can’t wait until SHDB17 (and why should you), come along to our regular Berlin Science Hacking Meetups. Every month we run one Stammtisch (for sharing projects and ideas, hatching plans, geeking out about our favourite science stuff – documented on our hackpad) and one Hack Lab (for collaborative hacking and making – hacks in progress documented here, sometimes). Newbies always welcome.

  3. Connect with our community

Join our community facebook group to share and find out about relevant news, events, opportunities, resources etc.

  4. Join our organising team

Science Hack Day Berlin and the Berlin Science Hacking Meetup are both run by volunteers. We love to share our project! Being part of the team can be a great way to get absorbed into the wierd world of DIY science, art/science, scientific innovation, meet amazing hackers and makers, get experience with all kinds of aspects of event organisation, help develop best practice for open source, open science, grassroots community management, and co-created citizen science. Help free science from the ivory tower, and pimp your CV at the same time! WIN!
